Tension keeps rising between the USA and North Korea

On March 8th in response to tensions with North Korea, American Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, said “If they (North Korea) elevate the threat of their weapons programme to a level that we believe requires action, then, that option’s on the table.” North Korea’s leader, Kim Kong Un, without hesitation ignored the threat and responded with the exact words “North Korea will launch a nuclear strike if a single bullet is fired” and continued testing missiles. Apparently North Korea has had five nuclear test being “successful” and about ten warheads that are ready to use. Tillerson’s exact words of military action being an ‘option on the table’ only has grown more tension between North Korea and the USA.

After reading this brief article about North Korea’s response to America’s secretary of State, as an American citizen, I have become much more concerned and worried. Before reading this article, I had no idea that tensions between The United States and North Korea brew up again. The last thing I would want my country to do is to start problems and go back and forth with war threats with a country who has access to a nuclear weapon. Being that North Korea has the resources of nuclear weapons, The USA should be trying to find a solution that has no involvement with militaries fighting in war whatsoever. With all do respect to both the United States and North Korea, why is using nuclear weapons even considered an option when in the end everyone will be affected and die from it? In conclusion, this article was very informative and recent yet gave me goosebumps while reading.
